Using Vision Boards

Vision Board 1 - Goals & Dreams
The vision board 1 - Goals and Dreams can be used to visualise your main dreams, goals or possibilities.
This board has pre-designed spaces for writing in each key life area. You can write your goals or dreams in the spaces with your white board marker pen. Some of your goals and dreams come to your mind immediately, some of them will come later.
You can add physical or tangible (perceptible by touch) goals and dreams such as a new house, better job or loving partner. Your goals can be also activities such as regular exercise or house de-cluttering.
Sometime we think that a new car can make us happy but when we achieve it, we might not get the feeling. Focusing on what feeling, emotion or inner quality you would like to achieve such as 'be kind', 'be strong' or 'shine within' can be another way how to determine your goals. The spaces on board do not provide too much space to elaborate your goals but you can associate a thought with it. For example, if you write there 'be strong', you can have a thought associated with it such as 'I can handle each situation, if I have a problem, I am going to look for a solution and I know my self-worth.' This way anytime when you see your goal on your vision board, it will invoke the whole thought.
You can also add possibilities - things which would enrich your life, inspire you or which would be nice to have or achieve but they are not necessarily your life essentials.
However, if you feel you would like to write more or visualise your goals with pictures, you can use the Vision board 2.
Vision Board 2 - Actions or Pictures
The vision board 2 has more possible ways of usage and was designed to outline the key life areas but leave the rest to you.
This second vision board can be used in the several ways (please feel free to use it in your own way if none of these ways attracts you):
-
It can be used as vision board 1 for your goals, dreams and possibilities if you need more space for writing or you want to design it in your own way. You can add doodles or magnets to decorate it.
-
Use it for actions to achieve your goals and dreams. You can use it as a complement to the vision board 1 where you have your main goals. For example, if your main goal written on the vision board 1 is to travel to a specific country, your actions can be 1.to research places to visit, 2.learn language basics, 3.create a checklist of items needed, etc. Once you have the action completed, you can erase it and replace with another action until your main goal achieved.
-
Use for better visualisation of your goals, placed there images which will represent your goals or dreams (the image of the new house you dream about, the place you want to travel to, etc.)
-
Use it as Feng Shui Bagua if you want to re-decorate/amend your environment and you can take this vision board as a plan of steps or actions to be undertaken - you can write to relevant areas the items you wish to buy or how to improve your environment - for example add new plant or buy an item to attract money etc.
You can place your vision boards on fridge so you will see them every day. If you prefer to keep them more privately, you can place it on a magnetic board in your room/bedroom.
To make the vision boards more authentic, you can place your picture in the middle. Use picture you really like and where you are very happy and joyful.
Guide what to include in each area (you can do it intuitively or use the points below):
Love & Relationships - represents mainly romantic and intimate relationships, your ability to nourish your relationships and nurture yourself
Hobbies & Creativity - represents activities which bring you joy and you are passionate about
Travel - represents places you would like to visit and things you would like to do in the world
Journey & Career - represents milestones you wish for to happen on your life journey and in career
Spiritual Growth & Self-Awareness - represents your inner development, improvement of your qualities, well-being and self-discovery
Family & Home & Health - represents your visions of happy family life and home, your appreciations of your own health and improvements of your lifestyle
Prosperity & Abundance - represents wealth and abundance in your life and your gratitude for it
Success & Fame - represents your integrity in the world and how you wish to be known
Next step is to learn how to use your vision boards once you have everything you wanted written down on boards. It is important to figure out which area you would like or need to focus on. Do not overwhelm yourself to focus on all your goals at the same time. Next section will help you to determine the area(s) of your focus.
